“After only briefly meeting freshman year of college, we knew that we wanted to know each other better. We parted ways, but Noah remained close friends with all of my friends and roommates; however, architecture school kept me busy enough for a year and a half, before I managed to make it to the big leagues. He even referred to me as ‘the mystery roommate,’ since I was always in the studio when he was there. Anyone who knows Noah knows why I wanted to have him in my life. A happiness tends to surround Noah that comes from his heart. After reconnecting sophomore year, he quickly became my best friend, but soon after, we both knew there was something more there.Over the past few years, we have created countless memories together – exploring European cities, spending time with loved ones, sharing amazing meals, and dancing our way through it all. Dating your best friend is a blessing and now tears of joy and love fill my eyes knowing that I get to spend the rest of my life with him. Noah brings me peace and laughter. I thank God everyday for putting him in my life.Noah drove through the night after a canceled flight from North Carolina to propose to me. His proposal plans changed multiple times due to that same inclement weather that caused his flight to be canceled. He planned every detail months in advance to ensure that the proposal would be a surprise because he knows my love for surprises; and he got friends and family to fly to Birmingham to celebrate with us afterward at a surprise engagement party. At the proposal he had rose petals and candles leading up to a satin box with my new monogram. Inside of that box were keepsakes from our three and a half years of dating: tickets from concerts and football games, menus from every date, souvenirs from baseball games, postcards from our travels abroad, and more, including the engagement ring disguised in a ring pop bag because I had told him years prior that I would say yes to a ring pop. Our proposal story exemplifies how thoughtful and selfless Noah is, and was also a day full of laughter and celebration, as he always puts a smile on my face.” – Bradford

Advice From the Couple

“Planning a wedding is an exciting time, so first we want to say congratulations! However, it can also be a very stressful time for some couples. During our season of engagement, it seemed like life was throwing us curveballs from all directions. Just remember, whatever happens on your wedding day, it will be beautifully and uniquely yours. For us, many things did not go as planned, both throughout our season of engagement and on our wedding day, but the day was still absolutely perfect. We laughed together as we stuttered in our wedding vows, and from our first dance to dancing with friends and family to our private last dance, each was equally as special. The mother of the bride, our wedding planner, and we were the only ones who knew that things did not go as planned. Your day is uniquely yours so whatever happens, embrace it.” – Bradford and Noah
