Jacob and I met in the second grade and were high school sweethearts. He would chase me around the playground and untie my hair ribbons. Then, one day in the eighth grade I realized that over the summer Jacob had grown taller and was actually pretty cute. After a few weeks of flirting, Jacob asked me to the homecoming dance and the rest is history! He proposed to me at our family farm, which is where we were married. I didn’t know it, but our families were waiting for us at the farmhouse with champagne ready to celebrate. – Julie Bell

Advice from the Bride: “After the ceremony and photos, Jacob and I had the opportunity to go into the house by ourselves to sit down, have a bite to eat, and catch our breath. It was the first time we were able to sit down together as husband and wife, and that time was so special. My advice to other couples would be to plan this time together into their timeline. Designate someone (a planner or member of the wedding party) to have food and water set out so you two can refresh yourselves before the reception begins.” – Julie Bell
