Where industrial architecture sets the stage for an electric affair.
Some couples want a wedding that’s soft and romantic. Others want a party to end all parties. If you fall in the latter category, look to Iron City. Yes, one of Birmingham’s hottest concert venues is also available for weddings! Kendall Howell, private events assistant manager, tells us more.
AW: What kinds of couples choose to wed at Iron City?
KH: Creative and fun. A typical Iron City bride is looking to have a lively evening with delicious food, flowing drinks, a fully staffed bar, danceable music, and most importantly, a great time! Our state-of-the-art sound system creates the perfect atmosphere for a celebration of marriage. The space is able to be transformed to fit any bride’s dream, and we provide an unforgettable night!
AW: Can Iron City also cater a full sit-down reception?
KH: Yes! Iron City has an extensive catering and bar menu. We have full dinner packages for couples looking for a seated meal, and we have a wide spread of hors d’oeuvres to choose from if a bride is looking for more of a grab-and-go buffet style! Our bar is totally customizable; we have packages to choose from and can add on any specialty cocktail by request!
AW: What advice do you have for couples looking at venues?
KH: Find your aesthetic and run with it! Tools such as Instagram and Pinterest will impact the way you look at venues; then, you’ll know if the venue matches your vision as soon as you walk through the door for your first tour. Iron City is a space where you can let loose and have fun! Your wedding day should be a celebration, not a chore.
