Dr. Holly Gunn, owner of Gunn Dermatology in Mountain Brook, offers care for all ages and specializes in medical, surgical, cosmetic, and laser dermatology. When it comes to beauty, Dr. Gunn practices in and out of the office. Combining her passions for fashion, a healthy lifestyle, and state-of-the-art practices, she embodies her work boldly so that her clients can feel as empowered as she is when they step into the world each day.

Q: What do you feel defines your individuality and personal style?

A: Grit is definitely something that defines me. My personality and style is a mix of classy, educated hipster with a flare for art and science and all things beautiful and healthy. 

Q: What range of services does Gunn Dermatology provide?

A: Based on an individual’s consultation by one of our aesthetic staff members, we offer PHYSIQ body contouring, Envi skin tightening, non-surgical butt lifts, Vivace microneedling, cryotherapy, an infrared sauna, and even spray tans. We also have numerous laser and skin-tightening treatments that make the skin stronger. We choose treatments based on the client’s individual needs.

Q: Is there a service you have been loving for your clients recently?

A: We have loved recommending Ellacor when it is the best approach. It can remove sagging skin without surgery! 

Q: If someone is looking to book a consultation with you prior to the wedding day, how far out should this be planned?

A: Sometimes we have brides walk in a few weeks before the wedding, and we can still help them look their best. I prefer to have nine months before the wedding in case we need a series of treatments and multiple modalities. Everyone needs a consultation to create a customized plan for their personal needs.

Q: What is your top piece of advice for brides wanting radiant skin on their wedding day?

A: One week before the wedding, we recommend getting an Aquagold facial treatment, and then the week of the wedding do a hydrafacial and dermaplane! Wear sunscreen daily, get skin checks yearly, establish a good skincare routine, and do regular facials. Healthy skin is a marathon not a sprint!
