“Jacob and Lexie met for the first time in the fall of 2018 at the University of North Alabama. Lexie, who is originally from Chelsea, Alabama, was up in Florence one weekend for her athletic official visit for the UNA women’s soccer team and met Jacob who was a current UNA freshman football player. That next fall, once Lexie became a freshman in college, Jacob asked her to hang out. Soon after that, Lexie and Jacob started dating and they were each other’s best friend and supporters during their respective. games and seasons. After three and half years of dating, Jacob got on one knee and asked Lexie to marry him. The proposal took place at McFarland Park in Florence which is a very famous spot there located right on the Tennessee River. It was perfect and beautiful in all the ways, and from there the rest is history.” – Lexie

“Planning a wedding can be fun but can sometimes be stressful because you want everything to go well. Even though the stress can be a lot, always remember that you are marrying your best friend and that is the most important thing. It is fun with your significant other to plan and think of your special day together, but the best is when the day actually comes. Yes, it is your day together but it is also a day where friends and family come back together to celebrate you! One of me and Jacob’s favorite memories from our wedding day is taking pictures with our wedding party and family and the hugs and congratulations from all our guests. Take time out of your busy day to talk to your guests, dance with your guests, and eat with your guests. Yes you made it and you are marrying your best friend, but support from the loved ones is also so special.” – Lexie
