Joseph and Amber met in 2019 at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. They both were attending graduate programs in the School of Health Professions and had seen each other in passing, but had never spoken. One day, Joseph followed Amber on Instagram and liked some of her pictures, but never said anything. Amber messaged him soon after replying to his Instagram story and they never stopped talking. They built a strong foundation of friendship and fell in love.
Joseph proposed to Amber at Château Elan Winery and Resort in Braselton, Georgia. Each month, they took turns planning dates and Joseph surprised her with going to winery for the month of April. He told her they were going on a winery tour and surprised her with a proposal surrounded by their families.
