“We were coming up on our seven-year anniversary and knew that we wanted to get married, so we went ahead and started looking for our first home to buy. We found our dream home, closed on it, and when we went to go see it empty for the first time as our new home is when he proposed!

He had picked me up from work that afternoon, and as we were walking up to the front door, that’s when he stopped me, talked about our life together, then got down on one knee. I totally blacked out, so I can’t remember exactly what he said. I had no clue it was happening then because Sam was looking for a new job and had an interview that morning. He told the guy who he was interviewing with that he was planning to propose that afternoon and that he’ll hopefully be back engaged. It was a total surprise and super sweet and sentimental!” – Sophia

Wedding Day Memories

“First, when I was about to walk down and the doors opened, there were so many people looking my way, but then I saw Sam standing at the end, and I just started giggling and smiling and never took my eyes off him! I felt like a little kid all giddy and excited

Second, when I walked into the ballroom at the Grand Bohemian for the first time and saw everything coming together, it was surreal. Every little detail that we had spent the last year picking out, and seeing it all come together was more incredible than I could have even imagined it would be!

Third, but not last was dancing – lots and lots of dancing and having fun with all of our friends and family! All of our people coming together and in one room was crazy, but then having fun and truly celebrating, forgetting about everything else in the world.” – Sophia
