LaKeem and Tyesha first met at Friendship Learning Center and became preschool sweethearts. They reconnected during their sophomore year of high school. LaKeem took the initiative and wrote Tyesha on Instagram where they exchanged numbers and arranged their first date to Las Trojans. It was football season and LaKeem invited Tyesha to Clements High School to watch him play at their next home game. After the game, LaKeem officially asked Tyesha to be his girlfriend and they have been together ever since. After eight years of dating, LaKeem popped the question to Tyesha on June 10, 2022. The couple went to Birmingham to see King George and celebrate LaKeem’s 24th birthday. LaKeem proposed while they were walking downtown after the concert and, of course, Tyesha said yes!

Advice From the Bride

“Wedding planning will seem like a very stressful process, especially if you are a perfectionist like I am. Take this process one step at a time and delegate tasks to others as needed so that you do not become too overwhelmed. Remember, the wedding is only for one day. Your main focus is starting a marriage with your forever partner.” – Tyesha
