“We connected through family and mutual friends, and it all began on our first date at a Birmingham Barons baseball game. We became inseparable! Before long, it seemed like we had done a little bit of everything together: catching the latest movies, many rounds of golf, baseball games, Friday night lights, Church Sundays, and even spending a Saturday in both Bryant-Denny and Jordan-Hare (a future house divided). We recognized what the Lord was doing in our lives and how blessed we were to spend each day together.

My engagement ring holds 142 years of marriage within Toby’s family, plus the most beautiful emerald-cut diamond of our own. There are no words to describe its irreplaceable value. We were engaged on December 8, 2025 at the Blount Springs Chapel, celebrated by our family that was patiently waiting downstairs in the chapel’s fellowship hall.” – Abby

Advice From the Couple

“Enjoy the engagement season and all of the moments leading up to the big day. When planning begins, remember that the gift of marrying your other half is far greater than anything that may come your way. Seeing your bride walking down the aisle and seeing your groom at the end of the aisle is the most special feeling ever, so soak it all in.” – Abby & Toby
