Engaged November 2025   –   Mountain Brook

“Chambers and I have known each other since junior high, where we quickly became the best of friends. He still loves to tell everyone that I friend-zoned him almost immediately, but to me, he was simply one of the kindest, most genuine people I knew – the kind of friend everyone wanted to have. In fact, I’ve never met anyone who has a bad thing to say about Chambers. In high school, I became very close with his younger sister, who later became my ‘grandlittle’ in cheerleading.

After graduation, Chambers and I went our separate ways and lost touch for nearly four years. Then, the year after college, we both found ourselves back in our hometown and quite literally bumped into each other at one of our favorite local spots, Otey’s Tavern. Not long after, Chambers asked me on a date. I was hesitant because our friendship meant so much to me, and I didn’t want to risk losing it.

Thankfully, with a little encouragement from my mom and some of my closest friends, I finally said yes three weeks later. Looking back now, I’m so grateful I did.” – Maggie

“The Thursday before Halloween, Chambers told me we were headed to his great-uncle’s birthday dinner. Little did I know, his great-uncle’s birthday is actually in February, and his entire family had planned a fake birthday celebration just so Chambers could surprise me with a proposal!

His Uncle Richard’s home sits atop one of the most breathtaking overlooks in Birmingham, and after we arrived, everyone was showing me around the house. A few minutes later, Chambers asked if I wanted to step outside to see the view. As we stood on the porch overlooking the downtown Birmingham skyline, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was completely shocked – it was the biggest surprise! When I turned around, both of our families were standing there, watching and celebrating with us. We spent the evening on Uncle Richard’s porch soaking in the incredible view before heading back to Chambers’ parents’ house, where another surprise was waiting.

As soon as we walked through the door, all of our closest friends and family were there to celebrate with us. It was the most special night of our lives, and truly more perfect than we ever could have imagined.” – Maggie
