Anna Grace Hall & Joshua Dylan Armstrong

“Dylan and I met during my junior year at Troy University. We had many mutual friends, but somehow never met until the last week of school before summer break. We both went back to our hometowns, but we talked on the phone all summer. When August came and classes started back, Dylan asked me on our first date. We went to a fun outdoor pizza spot in Downtown Troy. In the middle of our date, I spilled marinara sauce all over my shirt! We laughed and laughed. After that, we were attached at the hip. We became best friends, and a few months later he asked me to be his girlfriend. We had the best time in Troy and made so many fun memories there. We especially loved having picnics at the Pike County Lake. When Dylan graduated before me and we began long distance, we would always go to the lake when he came to visit.

A few weeks before I graduated, Dylan suggested that we picnic at the lake after church. I agreed, and when we arrived, he had arranged a beautiful display of flowers, pictures, and champagne. He asked me to marry him in our favorite place! I was over the moon. He invited all our friends and family to a surprise engagement party, and we got to celebrate with everyone we love most. It was definitely one of the most special days of my life. I am always grateful to have found such a friend in my husband!” – Anna Grace

Wedding Day Memory

“One of my favorite memories from our wedding day was when Dylan and I read our vows to each other. We decided to do a private first look, even though all my bridesmaids were peeking out the window at us! Vowing to love and cherish my sweet husband has been the greatest joy of my life, and I will never forget that moment. Dylan told me that he loved me ever since my ‘marinara explosion’ on our first date! It was a funny and sweet full-circle moment that I will always remember.” – Anna Grace
