“Journy and I met taking headshots for the new season at Alabama Ballet during fall of 2020. We are both professional ballet dancers with the company and it was Journy’s first season. Our friendship grew over the course of the season, culminating in May 2021 when we started dating. After nine months of dating, Journy asked me to marry him on a cold February evening looking over our favorite lookout spot in Birmingham where we had one of our first dates. We celebrated with Big Spoon Creamery ice cream and then went to my parents’ house where Journy had planned the sweetest engagement party. After six months of engagement, we got married on August 6th, 2022, at Aldridge Gardens.” – Bryn

“Our favorite moment from our wedding was our private last dance. The wedding day can be such a whirlwind with very little time for only the two of you. After celebrating with loved ones all day, it was so special to have a moment to take in the joy and magnitude of the moment – we were finally married! Our first dance song was, ‘Let’s Stay Home Tonight,” by NEEDTOBREATHE, but our last dance song, “At Last,” by Etta James, felt like a more private song for the moment. It was such a special moment that I wish I could bottle up forever!” – Bryn
