“In 2019, I moved to Mobile where I would begin pharmacy school through Auburn Harrison College of Pharmacy at the University of South Alabama’s campus. Through mutual friends in the area, Caleb found me on social media. Over time, he gained the courage to message me and introduce himself. Life was busy and I wanted to focus on school. My head was telling me to tell him no, but my gut was telling me it felt oddly right to talk to a man I had never met in person. I went with my head and politely told him I wasn’t in a position to pursue a relationship.

Three months later I decided to reach back out and tell him I would like to hang out in hopes he wouldn’t think negatively of my subtle return. To my surprise, he responded with a yes. We began to talk, date, and quickly fall in love. His presence immediately felt like home to me, and as we grew closer to each other it was as if we had never been strangers.

In September of 2021, still a candidate of the PharmD program and working my way through difficult schooling, Caleb told my dad, “I never saw myself getting married until I met Holly.” He proceeded to ask permission for my hand in marriage, and a few short months later surprised me with the most beautiful proposal in one of my favorite places to find peace and rest my mind and soul – aside the Mobile Bay.” – Holly
