“Our story started on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., working for two different members of Congress. One July day, I stopped by my friend’s office to share the story of a bad date, and Ben happened to be there. What might have seemed like coincidence was, in truth, divine providence. That encounter became the beginning of a friendship, and ultimately, a love story far greater than either of us could have imagined.

After three months, Ben asked me to get ice cream, even though he doesn’t like ice cream himself. Little did either of us know that this simple act would open the door to their first official date: a night of Hope losing at mini-golf followed by dinner at Martin’s Tavern. From that very first date, there was a sense of joy, peace, and purpose.

After our third date, Ben told his brother Sam that he was going to marry Hope. What he didn’t know was that I had quietly told a friend the very same thing. Long before either of us spoke the words aloud, God had already written them on both of our hearts.

On July 3, 2025, Ben asked me to be his wife in Washington, D.C. In one of the sweetest surprises of my life, Ben arranged for my family (including my favorite nephews, Jett and Duke) as well as his parents, to fly in without me knowing. My best friend, Hannah, was also there, helping keep everything on track while Ben prepared to make the most important decision of his life. Surrounded by the people who mean the most to us, Ben knelt and asked me to say “yes” to forever – a moment of pure joy and a testament to God’s perfect timing.” – Hope

Advice From the Bride

“Your wedding is about you and your significant other – no one else! Years from now, no one will remember whether or not your wedding matched the latest trends. They will remember the love, the joy, and the moments and details that felt uniquely you.” – Hope
