August 5, 2023 – Huntsville
Nicks sister is Laura’s best friend and college roommate. Laura and Nick moved back to Huntsville around the same time in 2019 and started working for the same company on the same day. They started hanging out in the same friend group and eventually realized they had a connection. They dated a little over two years when Nick proposed. Laura thought they were going to Florence for her dad’s birthday dinner, stopping in Rogersville at her parent’s house to ride with them. When they got to her parent’s house on the Elk River, Nick led Laura down to the dock where it was set up with flowers and candles for Nick to propose, and was followed by a celebration with friends and family.
Advice From the Bride
“Nick and I decided that we would be very intentional about sticking by each other during our reception because we didn’t want to look back on the day and realize we barely saw each other. It worked out so well and I urge other couples to have a conversation about this before your wedding. The day is about you as a couple so you want to spend as much time together as possible!” – Laura
