Cayla and LaMarcus’s story began in college at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. For LaMarcus, it was love at first sight. They met through mutual friends and like the typical modern love story goes: he hopped into the DMs. After countless times of being around each other, LaMarcus finally made his move and offered to cook for Cayla. Like the true product of Mobile that he is, jambalaya was his first meal he offered Cayla. Cayla being Cayla declined, but he was persistent and the rest is history.
Favorite Memories of the Couple
Cayla and LaMarcus shared their personal vows privately after their first look. They both couldn’t hold back their tears. The couple gifted each other some of their favorite items – Cayla surprised LaMarcus with a Gucci watch and Cayla got a new Louis Vuitton bag. They also exchanged sentimental gifts honoring each other’s loved ones that had previously passed. They had an evening ceremony with 185 guests. The bride walked down the aisle to, “First Time,” by Teeks and the groom walked in to, “I Choose You,” by Willie Hutch.
