Whitney and Jackson met the summer after their first year of college, when a mutual friend invited them both to their lake house. When the fall semester began, they reconnected and became college sweethearts. On June 5, 2025, Jackson proposed at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
Favorite Memory
At the reception, Whitney’s father, René Fix, surprised guests with a performance, joining the band to play “My Sharona” on electric guitar. The dance floor came alive, and the moment set an upbeat, joyful tone for the rest of the evening. The guitar he played, a cherished Gibson Les Paul, was gifted to the couple. Today it has a place of honor in their home.
