“Eric and I met on the dating app Bumble in July 2020. I was working in Lexington, Kentucky, and Eric was working as an assistant coach at the University of Louisville. After dating for four months, Eric was offered a new coaching opportunity. We decided to do long-distance and continued dating for more than two years. In December 2022, Eric’s team went to the conference championship and won. While celebrating with my family after the game, Eric said one day I am going to convince her to stop driving back and forth from Lexington. I laughed and said one day I would. He then took my hand and replied, “What about today?”
He then got on one knee and asked me to be his wife with my family present, which meant the world to me.” – Rachel
