“Our fathers became fast friends at work and planned a couples’ trip to Ireland. While in Ireland, the dads schemed together a plan for me to meet Benjamin. The plan was as follows: set up a Thanksgiving tee time, tell neither one of us that we were meeting each other, and hope we fall in love. The big day came and the plan worked perfectly! Benjamin and I hit it off immediately. However, he was going back to New York City, and I was still a senior in college living in the sorority house at Ole Miss. I decided to scheme a plan of my own to go to New York for a photo shoot and bring both of our moms since they had become so close in Ireland. The whole time in New York, Benjamin showed us around for three days straight and was a total gentleman.
Soon, it was Christmas, and he asked me to be his girlfriend. I was worried the distance would be difficult, but I soon found that leaving your twin bed in the sorority house was very easy when you’re going to the West Village! I knew he was the one from the moment I met him. It only took him seven months to propose, and they were the longest seven months of my life!” – Connor

“Benjamin and I decided to have a small wedding ceremony before our big, grand wedding because we wanted to be married before we lived together. By getting married beforehand, it took so much pressure off of the big day. I was able to be truly present and I didn’t walk out one time during my wedding. I remember everything in high definition and I truly believe it’s because we went ahead and decided to get married!” – Connor
