“Our story begins in 2020, during our time at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Carson and I lived just down the hall from each other, but met when Sarah and I had put our Snapchats on our door in hopes of making some new friends. That small decision changed my life for the better. Our first date was at Vulcan Park, a Birmingham classic. Carson took me there, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We overlooked the skyline and talked about what we were most excited about in our new city. Then, on September 14, 2020, as we watched the sunset together, Carson asked me to be his girlfriend. It was a beautiful moment – simple, sweet, and the perfect beginning to our journey together. Since then, we have been each other’s shoulder to cry on, best friend, and so much more. Life’s ups and downs has only made our love for each other stronger.
We’ve made so many unforgettable memories together, but some of my favorites include our movie nights, cheering on the Blazers during game days, countless beach trips, more concerts than we can count, and traveling to amazing places like Chicago and Key West.” – Ashton
The Proposal
“Carson proposed on March 1, 2025, at the beautiful Birmingham Botanical Gardens, and it was nothing short of perfect. He had secretly planned for Peyton to spend the morning with me – we grabbed fro-yo for lunch and headed back to my place to get ready for the day ahead! I had no idea where we were headed to but when we showed up to the gardens, Carson was waiting at the entrance. He walked me through the gardens, stopping at some of our most meaningful spots. Then, in the most heartfelt and unforgettable way, he asked me to marry him. We ended the day with a celebration dinner at one of our favorite spots – North Italia. It was everything I could’ve dreamed of and more.” – Ashton
