May 16, 2026 – Fairhope
“Jackson and I met through Snapchat during my senior year of high school and his junior year. What started as a very casual conversation quickly turned into a relationship only 20 days after meeting in person for the first time. Through different seasons of life, we continued choosing each other again and again. Over the years, we grew up together, becoming not only partners, but also best friends.
The proposal was a little different than originally planned. Jackson had intended to propose on May 4, 2025 in Orange Beach, but accidentally spoiled his own surprise while screen-sharing during a FaceTime call. After realizing the secret was out, he had to quickly come up with a new plan. A few weeks earlier, on April 25, 2025, he told me we were heading to Birmingham to celebrate his Gigi’s birthday with dinner at The Club. I had no reason to suspect anything, so I happily got dressed for what I thought was a family birthday dinner. When we arrived, Jackson led me outside (in the rain) overlooking the Birmingham skyline and got down on one knee.
Despite the proposal not going to according to his original plan, it ended up being absolutely perfect. After I said yes, we celebrated with our families who had been in on the surprise all along. Looking back, the story feels so fitting for us, equal parts heartfelt, memorable, and a little bit funny. It’s still hard to believe that a simple Snapchat message years ago would eventually lead us to that moment and ultimately, to our wedding day.” – Olivia
Advice From the Couple
Our biggest piece of advice is to remember that your wedding day is about your marriage, not about creating a perfect event. There will always be small things that don’t go according to plan, but at the end of the day, none of those details matter as much as the commitment you’re making to one another. Give yourself permission to be present, soak in every moment, and enjoy being surrounded by the people you love.
Favorite Memory
“One of our favorite memories from the day was stepping back for a few quiet moments together during the dinner. Our venue had a balcony connecting to the bridal suite that we got to go out on and see everything from a ‘birds eye’ perspective. After months of planning, it was the first chance we had to pause, look around, and take it all in. Seeing our friends and family celebrating together and realizing we were finally husband and wife is a moment we’ll never forget.”
