“We met in grad school. I was finishing my Doctorate in Physical Therapy and he was finishing his Masters in Prosthetics and Orthotics. Both of our roommates were very good mutual friends and we all four started hanging out and having family date nights. Somewhere along the way it ended up just being the two of us. Seven years later and many years of long distance dating, we finally tied the knot! Justin proposed on a random Monday night, probably on one of the worst days I had had at work and all year in general. We were walking our dogs around the neighborhood, looking at Christmas lights, and making our way back to the house when Justin dropped to one knee and proposed – unnder our Christmas lights, just us and the dogs. It was perfect and I can’t imagine it any other way!” – Becky
Favorite Memories
“It is so hard to choose one memory from our wedding day! The day was absolutely everything we ever dreamed of and so much more! One thing I remember is our ceremony. We just happened to choose the hottest time of year to get married, but right as my dad and I started walking down the aisle a big cloud moved right in front of the sun. It created the perfect cloud cover for us and our guests. I like to think it was my mom looking down on us and giving us some shade.”
“Another is our reception. Every girl dreams of their wedding and each of us has a different vision. Well mine was the reception. I wanted a band and everyone on the dance floor all night long and it was absolutely amazing! Our band, The Music City Sound, was all we wanted and more! We had our best friends and our families all in one place, for an entire day, and we ended the day dancing the night away. It was so fun to just stand and look out into the crowd and it seemed as if everyone was on the dance floor dancing and singing their hearts out.”“Our venue was absolutely gorgeous and the view is breathtaking. I am a so thankful that Carla Lawrence captured so many wonderful photos for us to remember every detail of our day – from us getting ready to the fantastic cold spark exit! The photos we took at sunset are some of the most gorgeous photos and some of my favorite from the entire day. The clouds parted and the most beautiful sunset peeked out just in time for our photos.” – Becky
