April 2, 2022 – Orange Beach
“We arrived in South Lake Tahoe on the evening of October 9th, 2020, and checked into a huge two-story cabin snuggled between the mountains. The following night, Roland requested I be dressed and ready by 7pm as he had made us dinner reservations at a resort restaurant right down the road. After dinner on our way back to the cabin, Roland pulled off to the side of the road and told me to put on a blindfold as he had one more surprise for me. Little did I know, Roland had been planning a proposal with the help of my family for months. Still blindfolded, he led me into the cabin and out to the back patio deck. When he removed my blindfold, I found myself standing in the middle of a heart made up of red rose petals. There were candles and pictures of us everywhere with the words “Will you marry me?” illuminated on a sign behind us. Roland then got down on one knee. I was in shock and the rest was a blur. When I finally realized what was happening and answered the easiest question of my life. The night could not have been any more perfect.” – Manal
