To make sure everyone knows their roles and places, a wedding weekend commences with rehearsal of the ceremony, typically the evening before the wedding day. Afterward, the rehearsal dinner is a chance to gather with your families and the wedding party for an evening of toasts, thank-yous and hospitality.

For fabulous rehearsal dinner inspiration, we look to the Elyton Hotel in downtown Birmingham, which is home to the former iconic Empire Building, one of the South’s best-known architectural landmarks. Capable of comfortably seating up to 80 guests, the Empire Ballroom of the Elyton  hosts intimate events  for every occasion with delectable dining and hand-crafted cocktails.

“All food and beverage menus can be customized,” says Elyton’s General Manager, Chris Townsley. “We provide guests with our private event menus as well as our seasonal restaurant menus from our in-house restaurant, The Yard. Those menus provide the backbone to any custom offering that our Executive Chef, Chris Moore, tailors to our client’s wants and needs.”

After dinner, guests can adjourn to Moon Shine, the Elyton’s rooftop bar, for a nightcap before a good night’s rest before the big day.

“Our full service hotel provides a retreat for your wedding guest, no matter if they call Birmingham home or are visiting from afar. Our luxurious suites offer a space for bridal parties to gather on the wedding day and an intimate space for newlyweds to escape in the evening. From the proposal to the wedding day, we want to be a part of your love story.”
