“Rachel moved to Charlotte, NC, for her first job after graduating from Auburn University in 2018. This was a very bold move considering she didn’t know anyone in North Carolina. Lucky for me, I met her within a couple of weeks of her moving to Charlotte. Our first date was on a Sunday afternoon in August at one of Charlotte’s local spots, Seoul Food. We sat outside on the porch talking and getting to know one another. By the end of our date, I knew I had to convince her to go out with me again. In the weeks following our first date, we went out several more times. It didn’t take long (three weeks to be exact) for me to ask Rachel to be my girlfriend – to which she replied, ‘We’ll see.’ But I knew I had her hooked.”
