Avocado Toast Bites

By Chef Richard Bishop from Savoie Catering

Time Est. 45 min. | Serves: 8

  • 1 Slice of Whole Grain Bread
  • 1 Ripe Avocado
  • 1 Tablespoon of Tabasco Sauce
  • 1/4 Cup of Sour Cream
  • 1/2 Cup Chopped Fresh Basil
  • Pinch of Kosher Salt

Preparation

Step 1: Cut bread into two-bite sized pieces and brush with extra virgin olive oil. Any bread will work with lots of seeds as it helps with the crunch. Bake at 325 degrees until browned and crunchy.

Step 2: Peel and pit ripe avocado and mash in bowl. Squeeze a little lemon juice, a shot or two of tobasco and a pinch or two of kosher salt. Add a spoon of sour cream (this can be omitted for vegans), and mix/mash with the back of a fork.

Step 3: Spoon avocado on toast and top with garnish.

Garnish Ideas

Grape tomato, radish slice, micro greens, cilantro sprig, pickled pepper, everything seasoning, black sesame seeds, sliced grape, shredded carrot or Greek olive.
